Principal's Message - Mr Steve Thorne
Newsletter Week 8
Semester 1 Reports
These will be available to parents via Compass from 3pm next Wednesday.
Sick Children
As is usually the case around this time of year, we have quite a number of children and staff who are sick. If this is the case, please make arrangements to keep your child at home.
School Uniform
Reminder that all students should now be in Winter uniform which includes ties and shirts tucked in (some of the younger boys may need a little practise!). Lowes have had a few issues with their Figtree store however they assure us that those issues have been addressed and new stock is on the way. If your child is out of the normal uniform for any reason, please just let your class teacher know.
Thank you
Year 5 had their overnight excursion last week visiting the Botanical Gardens and the Maritime Museum before heading for a night in tents and a day exploring the zoo. Thank you to Mrs Kirra Calvert, Mrs Sue McGoldrick, Mr Frank Timpano and Mr Nik Sajdovski who gave up many hours of their own time (without pay) to make this happen.
P & F Bunnings BBQ
Save the date - Saturday, 31 July. If you can spare an hour or two, your time would be very much appreciated.
Building Update
We have experienced quite a bit of noise over the past two weeks as the concrete between the primary building and the canteen has all been removed. Construction on the ramp around the canteen has now begun but won’t be anywhere near as noisy.
Holy Spirit Performance
Tomorrow, Year 4 have been invited to attend the Holy Spirit College performance of ‘Mary Poppins’. This is a great opportunity for our students to experience a live show - we also know that the college always run a very professional production.
