Cross Country Postponed

Due to the wet weather, we will be postponing the Cross Country Carnival to next Thursday, 25 March at the same venue.

Kiss & Collect Updates

1. From MONDAY, 22 March, Kiss & Collect will start at 2.50pm (currently 2.55pm). This way we should have most of our students collected before TIGS start to build up on Powell St. If St Therese parents/carers can be there by about 3.05pm, there should not be an issue with traffic. This arrangement will be a trial for the last two weeks of term.
2. Leaving the presbytery carpark - as you exit the gates, please treat this as a STOP sign and look both ways on Powell St. TIGS report that they have been in contact with police and RMS and their buses are allowed to drive around an ‘obstruction’ (build up of traffic) regardless of the unbroken centre line. With our earlier start time, this may no longer be an issue but drivers need to be aware that it could happen.

Before 8.30am Routine

Supervision does not commence until 8.30am each day. Students who do arrive early are to wait on the Stage 1 verandah in the back playground. Students are allowed to talk, some read a book, but there are no games until 8.30am.

LOWES Uniform

Last Friday, I sent a message to all our parents explaining where we are at in terms of uniform. Just reiterating, Lowes were unable to source the same brown that we currently have for the long Winter pants, therefore we have opted for a slightly lighter shade of brown. This is not a change of uniform and parents are not expected to go and buy the new ones. Like any variation, it happens over time. This is also the case for the girls Summer & Winter uniforms where we are getting the school logo embroidered onto it as well as STS going onto the boys shirt pocket. These minor changes filter through over a long period of time when the need to purchase new items of uniform occurs. The logo changes were discussed and supported at P &  F meetings.

The change into Winter uniform is also a gradual affair where families will be offered a transition stage, choosing which uniform they are most comfortable in. Usually around the end of May is when we may Winter uniform mandatory - this will be indicated in newsletters next term.
