School Uniform
As stated last week, students can wear either their Winter or Summer uniform depending on the weather for the rest of this term. Please ensure they are in one uniform or the other instead of a mixture of the two. All students should be in Summer uniform from the start of Term 4.
Congratulations Christina D (Yr 5G) & Genova D (Yr 6G)
On Monday, Christina and Genova represented St Therese at the Regional Catholic Schools Public Speaking Competition held at Fairy Meadow. Both girls spoke extremely well and were confident in their delivery. While Christina didn’t gain a place, she did receive very positive feedback that will improve her skills for next year. Genova achieved First Place and will again represent the school at the Diocesan final of the Public Speaking in November. Both girls were a credit to their families and the school.
State Dance Competition
Last weekend, Annabelle Cox (3B) travelled to Canberra to compete in a dance eisteddfod for her dance studio. This is a state level competition. She competed in all her troupe dances, as well as performing and competing in solo dances. She performed 13 dances and received 12 awards. She had lots of fun with her friends and family.
Annabelle will return to Canberra in October to compete in the finals. Good luck Annabelle!
Congratulations Daisy M (6B), Pippa K (6G) and Teddy M (KB)
These students competed at the NSW State Championships for Cheer and Dance last weekend with some amazing results! Pippa and Daisy’s Cheer team, “NRG Vortex”, placed 2nd in their division. Daisy placed second in her Pom division and third in Hip-hop. Teddy and his team placed 3rd in their Jazz division! We are all very proud of their performances!

Congratulations Lewis McL(6B)
Last week Lewis travelled to Yamba for the Rugby NSW Country Championships. Representing Illawarra, Lewis’ team were undefeated, conceding only 2 tries throughout the competition. Needless to say, they were declared Country Champions. Lewis was then awarded the Players Player Award from the Illawarra Team. Awesome Lewis!!

Growing Good Men: Father and Teenage Son Weekend Experience
20 - 22 October 2023, Cataract Scout Camp, Appin
One of the most important influences in the lives of men is the relationship they had with their father or significant father figure. The encouragement and affirmation that this relationship could, and should, provide is a key ingredient for how young men view themselves and embrace their gifts as they take their place in the world.
Don’t miss this life-changing father and son weekend! Spots are limited to just 25 fathers with their sons aged between 12 and 16 years. This is a unique opportunity for dads and their sons to embark on a quest of discovery with Robert Falzon and the team from menALIVE. Register here.
