A Prayer For Your Family Holiday
Dear Lord,
Please bless this time of family holiday.
Help my family to get along, to enjoy one another.
Maybe toss a couple of those idyllic imagined scenes into our path?
May we be able to see the wonder You instil within the chaos of our days –
whether we vacation near or far away from home.
On this everyday, normal day that’s somehow still outside of our routine,
help me to embrace my family, this time of holiday,
and the ordinary yet extraordinary gifts You’ve given.
Open my eyes to see that this holiday will end but the memories of it will remain
and give me the strength to make them sweet.
Pour some of that strength into my very being and bring me through to the end of the holiday
with a thankful heart and unceasing praise.
Amen.
Confirmation
Last night we had two beautiful Confirmation ceremonies celebrated by Bishop Brian. There was a delayed start as Bishop Brian was forced to wait in Campbelltown for NRMA to change his car battery! Despite the 40 min late start, the Bishop didn’t rush either ceremony. He believed that each student and their family should feel special and cherish this moment. Thank you to Mrs Kirra Calvert who did a great deal of preparation behind the scenes along with the Parish Sacramental Team. It was also great to see many of our staff in attendance at one or both ceremonies displaying their commitment to celebrating our faith as a community.
School Holidays
This Friday marks the end of Term 3. With the challenges thrown at us as we near the end of the building project, the holiday break can’t come quick enough!! Thank you for the wonderful support we have received this term. I wish all our staff, students and families a relaxing and restful break to refresh the batteries!
Best Wishes Mrs Adele Walsh
This Friday marks the last day for Adele as she prepares to welcome her second child into her family in the coming weeks. This is a very exciting time as all parents would know but along with this goes a lot of sleeplessness and, at times, anguish. In saying this, there are also countless rewards that money could never buy. As a Catholic community, we wish Adele and her family all the very best and we look forward to her return in 2024.
Building Update
After yesterday’s site meeting, we are still on-track for our building handover on the first day back (for staff) next term, October 10. Removalists have been working hard all day moving the bulky, heavy furniture & boxes while our senior students have contributed by moving many of the smaller things. It is important that they are involved as it builds pride in their own school and will contribute to their memories.
